Our mission
In our lab, the research focuses on organic chemistry at the intersection of catalytic functionalisation, method development and physical organic chemistry. Our research aims to understand and control reactivity at a fundamental level, translating these insights into robust synthetic strategies for synthesising complex molecules. This endeavour requires the purposeful design of reagents and catalysts, as well as a profound mechanistic understanding of new catalytic pathways that can be translated into reliable, operationally simple processes.
Students and postdoctoral researchers with a special interest in synthetic organic chemistry and method development in the area of homogeneous photo- and transition metal catalysis are welcome to discuss opportunities to undertake laboratory practical work, bachelor's or master's theses, and doctoral studies, and are encouraged to get in touch.
